A Message from the Principal

Welcome back  - Term Three 2017

It’s hard to believe that we’re now into the second half of the 2017 academic year.

We have another busy term ahead, with our students in Years 3 to 6 gearing up for their camping programs.

Year 5 and 6 students will attend Howqua Camp from Monday 24th – Friday 28th July, whilst students in Years 3 and 4 will attend a three camp to Anglesea in the week beginning on Monday 28th August.

Parent/Teacher/Student (PTS) Conferences will be held on Monday 31st July and Wednesday 2nd August. This conferences will provide an important opportunity for sharing the successes outlined in the Mid-Year student reports and for setting important learning goals for the remainder of 2017.

Our Book Week celebrations will get underway on Monday 21st August and culminate with our annual Reading & Writing Together is Magic evening on Thursday 24th August - not to be missed!

During this term, we will excitedly trial a new online system for ordering lunch orders. Stay tuned for guidelines in the school newsletter.

We will also trial a new format for our school assemblies in order to forge greater student input into each assembly. A rotational system will see a mix of Whole School, Junior (Foundation to Year 2) and Senior (Years 3 to 6) formats each week. We look forward to your feedback on this trial as it unfolds.

The final staff training day for 2017 will be held on Monday 14th August and no students are to attend on this day.

We’ve now completed a major upgrade of our Health Hub; feel welcome to drop in and have a chat to Nurse Olivia!

Term 3 is a ten week term that concludes on Friday 22 September.

All students are well placed for another vibrant and engaging term at Willy North!
