Term Three 2018

Welcome Back  - Term Two 2018

This Terms Value is RESPONSIBILITY

We warmly welcome all members of our school community to our Term 3 programs.

Term 3 commences on Monday 16th July and concludes on Friday 21st September.

As we continue to celebrate our Year of ‘The Arts’, we have many engaging events planned for the term to enrich our learning platforms and facilitate high levels of participation.

On Monday 30th July, PTS Conferences will be held for all students in Foundation to Year 2, whilst PTS conferences for students in Years 3 – 6 will be held on Wednesday 1st August. Bookings for these conferences will be facilitated through the school’s Compass platform.

The final Staff Training Day for 2018 will be held on Monday 6th August; please note that students are not required to attend school on this day.

Our annual Book Week celebrations will unfold from Monday 20th through to Friday 24th August. This year’s theme is ‘Find Your Treasure’. In addition to purchasing some great books at the Book Fair, we will be excited to hear our students present their poetry at Reading and Writing Together is Magic on Thursday 23rd August.

Students in Years 3 and 4 can look forward to attending a three day camp at Phillip Island in Week 8. Year 3 students will depart on Monday 3rd September and return on Wednesday 5th September, whilst Year 4 students will head off to camp on Wednesday 5th September and return on Friday 7th September.

As we head towards the end of the term, we will be very excited to host our biennial Art Show/STEAM Expo on Thursday 13th September. This will be another fabulous opportunity for showcasing the many talents of Willy North students across the Visual Arts, Science and Digital Technologies. Be sure to pop this event into your calendar, as it one not to be missed!

Enrolment confirmations for the 2019 Foundation cohort will be posted to families in early September and we will look forward to getting to know our prospective Foundation students in Term 4 as they participate in their Transition Program.

Our Fete committee will begin to mobilise during the term as we begin to plan for this major event in 2019. As in past years, we look forward to working with many parents on this venture.

How lucky we are to be part of a school where everyone works closely together to heighten the provision for our students. We look forward to your participation and contributions again this term.
