Welcome To Term One 2018

Welcome Back  - Term One 2018

This Terms Value is DOING YOUR BEST

I would like to take this opportunity to warmly welcome all students, staff and parents to the 2018 school year.  I sincerely hope that everyone has had a restful and relaxing summer break.  It was great to see the many eager and fresh faces for the start of the school year on Tuesday 30th January.  We had a particularly settled start for our 805 students, with students enthusiastic to get underway in their classrooms.  This year we will be operating with 33 classes across the school with five classes at Foundation, five classes at Year One, six classes at Year Two, five classes at Year Three and four classes at each of the remaining levels.

As always, we have a busy term ahead to get the year underway.

Our Years 3 and 4 students will participate in their annual 2 week swimming program beginning on Monday 19th February.

All students will have the opportunity to visit the Life Education Van in the latter part of the term.

Please note that the school will be closed for the annual Labour Day Holiday on Monday 12th March and Friday 23rd February for the staff to undertake their second training day for the year.

Parent Information Sessions will be held for each year level in mid-February to help provide an overview of the programs that will be operating in 2018.

Towards the end of this term, all parents will have a chance to attend a Parent/Teacher/Student Conference. Watch for further details in the newsletter.

As part of our major events calendar, this year we celebrate the ‘Arts’ with musicals and exhibitions. Stay tuned for this exciting news as it unfolds throughout the year.
